My approach to psychotherapy is rooted in my belief that people are inherently resilient, courageous and adaptive. I believe everyone has the capacity to heal and grow. The relationship between therapist and client is the foundation of effective therapy. So, with each session, I strive to create a safe and nurturing space that encourages people to explore their thoughts, emotions and experiences without feeling judged.
In our time together, you will be met with warm, caring attention. Unlike the cliche of the therapist as a "blank screen", you will get a sense of my personality, humor, values, and my dedication. My clients have described me as down-to-earth, respectful, honest and engaged.
I use an integration of my professional experience, clinical work, education and trainings. My own life experiences and challenges, personal growth and intuition deeply influence the way I assist and care for my clients. Working holistically, I use a variety of effective methodologies including:

Therapy will be always guided by your unique goals, needs and safety. In our early sessions, we will develop a multi-layered understanding of your presenting concerns. As therapy progresses, we may examine specific stressors or traumas, behavioral patterns, interpersonal relationships, and cultural or family influences. Our aim will be to increase clarity and self-understanding, self-trust and groundedness. As people begin accomplishing therapy goals, a feeling of being energized and a sense of freedom usually arises.
Therapy is not about finding a cure or "fixing" someone. Instead, I see it as a natural, unfolding process where together we will explore your experiences, shed light on your strengths and transform any limiting beliefs. I act as a source of support and encouragement while providing insight and curiosity to facilitate the exploration that results, ultimately, in positive change.
